Australian Market: Interview with Nick Griffin

Nick Griffin, Head of Investments at Munro Partners, shares his thoughts on the Australian dollar and the state of the Australian economy.

Nick Griffin has been living in the UK for the last two years, and it has given him a unique perspective on the Australian economy. “We have an office in Edinburgh, the second largest financial centre in Europe. Scotland is a country that’s trying to secede from a country that’s trying to leave the European Union – this is not a great investment environment.”

Despite concerns about the housing market, Australia appears remarkably politically stable from the outside. Political movements across Europe are struggling with immigration and the free movement of labour, but in Australia, these were dealt with years ago. “Ultimately, I know it doesn’t feel like it, but from the outside looking in, it looks a lot better here than it does over there.” In the video below, he explains why he expects the AUD to struggle to fall significantly from here.
